Pricing applicable to BitCo Business Fibre Zone 1 only. Zone 2 pricing will be provided within those coverage areas. The above pricing excludes VAT. Terms and conditions apply.
How long does zone 1 business Fibre take to install?
Deployment lead times can be lengthy and are based on location. The average lead time is approximately 6 – 8 months. This is due to the process involved with infrastructure planning, engaging with local municipalities, digging and trenching. If your business is within a one of our Smart Communities lead times are considerably lower at approximately 6 weeks.
Is this a contract service?
Yes, we have 24 months and 36 months agreement options.
What support do you offer?
We offer several Service Level Agreement (SLA) options for our business clients. You can select an option based on your support requirements.
What does Quality of Service (QoS) mean?
Quality of Service (QoS) refers to the capability of an ISP’s network to provide better service to selected network traffic. BitCo maintains and manages the entire network therefore, we are able to guarantee a high level of performance for data flow.
What happens when I move offices and I am under contract?
We can migrate your service if required . This is subject to feasibility and service availability at your office location.
What does uncapped Internet mean?
Uncapped means you have an unlimited amount of data available to consume. There is no overall limit to how much data you can use. It is important to note that some Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) have a monthly “threshold” value. Although you can still consume data past the threshold, your line speed may be affected through throttling or shaping policies. Consider the vehicle example below. The only difference is that the petrol tank contains an unlimited amount of petrol (Uncapped), effectively meaning that it can drive forever. However, once a certain distance (threshold) has been reached, the vehicles speed will be reduced.
What does synchronous Internet mean?
Synchronous means that upload and downloads speeds are the same (Transmitting and receiving are equal). i.e. 10Mbps download speed and 10Mbps Upload speed. Asynchronous transmits and receives at different speeds. i.e. 10Mbs download speed and 2 Mbps Upload speed.
What does uncontended Internet mean?
Uncontended means that you get a fixed connection speed regardless of how many other companies share the pipe. Contended means that speeds are not fixed and will fluctuate depending on how many companies or people are connecting.
The contention ratio is actually very important when considering what type of internet service is required. The higher the ratio the lower the maximum bandwidth will be, or the slower your connection will be. BitCo Fibre offers a 1 : 1 contention ratio on our Fibre services so we can guarantee a fixed connection speed regardless of the time of day that it’s being used or regardless of how many people / business’ share the pipe to the local exchange.
What is an Acceptable and Fair Usage Policy
There are number of ways the term can be expressed. For example, fair usage / use policy or Acceptable use / Usage policy. An A&FUP is a document that sets out rules for an owner, creator or administrator of a network. It defines what users on the network may and may not do. Basically, it’s a guideline of how the network can be used. Terms that may appear in an A&FUP document (but are not limited to):
- Unlawful use
- Prohibited activities
- Uncapped & Capped, Shaping and Throttling procedures
- Notice and Take down Procedures
- Complaints procedures
- Etc.

Why do I need a managed router?
A router is a device that sends data from an internet cable to other devices such as smartphones, laptops, tablets, etc. Most routers are wireless which means the data is converted into radio signals (WiFi) and then transmitted.
Routers that do not have wireless capabilities function , data does not convert into radio signals. Instead, devices need to be connected directly with an Ethernet cable in order to access the Internet.
We manage your router which means, we are able to offer first line support remotely by accessing the router over the Internet.

BitCo Fibre is the Business
We have protected National Long Distance (NLD) routes to all major Data Centres. All of our business Fibre is uncapped and offers speeds up to 10Gbps. We have multiple undersea cable providers to cater for maximum redundancy and uptime.
Temporary Wireless Link
As we lay our Fibre network, current deployment lead times can be lengthy. This is due to the process involved with infrastructure planning, engaging with local municipalities, digging and trenching.
The good news is that you don’t have to wait for months without connectivity. As proud innovators in our industry, we offer temporary wireless links whilst your Fibre is being deployed.
